This part of the tooth contains blood vessels, tissue and some repairing elements. Not any emergency dentist can provide a good pulp therapy so be sure you go to the best dentist for this.
Dental cavities are usually the reason for a kid requiring pulp therapy. Usually a pulp therapy requires two different processes: a pulpotomy and pulpectomy. A pulpotomy is required to remove diseased pulp tissue form the crown of the tooth. Then the dentist should place an agent to prevent bacterial infestation, and to calm the rest of the remaining nerves. If the entire pulp is involved, than a pulpectomy is required. This implies the removal of the entire pulp tissue from the crown and the pulp. Than the next step should be a complete restoration of the tooth. This is also a hard process and should be done carefully.
