The itchy scalp can result from a diversity of scalp conditions. Unfortunately, many people of various ages are affected by this uncomfortable condition. Three of the mainly frequent causes are contact dermatitis, scalp seborrhea dermatitis, and folliculated. Before going for any scalp treatments you should be aware about different scalp problems.
Speak to dermatitis is very regular. It is an irritation or reaction to something that has come into contact with the scalp. The number one offender is chemicals agents that are initiate in many shampoos, conditioners and other hair products. These chemicals can bother the scalp and tend to make it overly dry and itchy. Sometime contact dermatitis stems from other irritants in the environment or food that you eat.
Folliculate is a type of scalp bumps or scalp acne. With this situation the head becomes too dry. If the scalp is too dry the hair follicle will remain open allowing bacteria or yeast to become trapped inside. This will cause bumps and pimples to appear on the scalp. Folliculate is a very tickly and worrying condition.
One more common cause of itchy scalp is seborrhea dermatitis. Seborrhea dermatitis entails scalp itch and tiny white flakes. White or yellowish scales also type on the scalp. These scales often wrap red irritated skin. This condition can be severe at times. It may spread to other areas such as the face, behind the ears, and the upper chest.
